CK Maloney Surveying have been delighted recently to host work placement students from Belridge Secondary College Year 12 Program and Servite Secondary College Year 11 Programs.
During the 2 weeks period students are placed across numerous sites with a range of our surveyors to impart their own stories of their career journeys and expose the students to an array of surveying applications and roles.
The students were able to attend a variety of high rise construction and civil surveying sites. They saw 3D scanning and modelling, aerial volumetric surveys, cadastral site establishments, site set outs, as constructed surveys, and feature and contour survey data collection. Our goal was to enable them to spend time seeing how projects evolve from the beginning of the tender process, through to the surveyors preparing data, setting out on site and producing deliverables for clients.
CK Maloney Surveying pride themselves in offering these opportunities to secondary students and supporting them should they continue on to study survey pathways.
Furthermore, our student program continues into tertiary studies offering both University and TAFE students enrolled in surveying programs casual roles to enable them to gain valuable field experience to compliment their years of study.
If your school is interested in discussing work placements, or you are a surveying student currently enrolled in studies please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your career in Surveying.
